The Father Eagle Left to Hunt. That Was All the Mountain Lion Needed | CTTV Video

The Father Eagle Left to Hunt. That Was All the Mountain Lion Needed A limestone cliff in Glacier National Park, Montana. Under an overhang sits one golden eagle nest with two chicks, and there is only one way up. The mother stays on the nest. The father has to hunt. This morning he goes after a mountain goat kid on a narrow ledge, and the nanny won't give an inch. When the herd finally runs, it runs up the cliff, and it shows a mountain lion exactly where to climb. This is a cinematic wildlife documentary about a golden eagle family, a herd of mountain goats and a mountain lion in the Rocky Mountains. Stay for the explainer at the end: how big a golden eagle nest really gets, how often eagles actually attack mountain goats, why a mountain lion is the goat's deadliest enemy, and what science knows about predators reaching eagle nests.
